Lil Wayne couldn’t stop a documentary about his life from coming out; now the controversial film has landed on top of the iTunes movie chart! The Carter, produced by well-known hip hop filmmaker Quincy Jones III (aka QD3), is the #1-selling documentary on the U.S. iTunes music store; it’s also Top 10 on the Canadian iTunes music store.

Lil Wayne went to court and tried to block The Carter from release because of scenes involving his drug use and gang affiliation. Weezy’s attorney claimed that QD3 had given the rapper authority to delete scenes he disliked, but QD3 denied that and a judge said it was OK for the move to come out. The Carter was released on November 17.
