Creativity and innovation is a telling trademark of the kind of music that comes out of Richmond VA. Tek is no exception to this fact. As a young and hungry 11 year old, he decided to begin his training as a musician by taking elective courses in music as a 6th grader. He was so fascinated by the middle school string orchestra as they played mozart live in front of him at his elementary school. While most of his peers were in the band playing drums and quads, Tek decided to veer off and tickle the smooth sounding strings of the cello. College was a must for Mr. Tek, he was a well-known DJ at WRVS 89.9 in North Carolina...he played football and had a career that would have put him on your televisions on sundays. Now 10 yrs since those days as a DJ and radio jock, DJ Teknik has matured along with his musical capabilities. This DJ turned Producer has blossomed into a bonified Heavy Hitter in this world of ever-changing styles and trendsetters.
