  About aftahlife
The dawn of the millennium has brought with it the rising of the sun in the South. Recognized for its hospitality, cuisine, and prejudice, the Dirty South now stakes a serious claim to the new seat of the Hip Hop throne. As the West struggles in the “Aftermath” to devise a new strategy and “Exibit” new “Game”, the East is left with “No Way Out”, hustlin everyday trying to make a dollar out of “50 Cent.”

Enter….. Aftahlife aka William David IV, is committed to annihilating fear through achieving harmony in life – or simply put, AFTAHLIFE!!
“Through the trials of the streets and the pains of the world, being born in Bridgeport, CT.”

As the chief of the Rebel Gentlemen, Aftahlife is as enigmatic as the oxymoron that the name suggests. Rebel Gentlemen; Rebels in nature by resisting the oppression of the established norm, yet as gentile men, they revolt with honor and integrity. (Their mission is not just to “Get Rich or Die Trying,” but instead to find the “Blueprint” for success.)

His music successfully combines the realism of the urban experience with the idealism of social consciousness without compromising his street credibility or becoming preachy, pretentious, or pedantic. This duality resonates through his poetic ability and offers a welcomed escape from the humdrum of constant clichés. Aftahlife’s lyrical content therefore extends beyond the confines of violence, voluptuous women, and volumes of dough to include also, understanding of self, significance of family, and purpose of community. While he acknowledges the bling, his shine emanates from the light within. As an artist he lives up to his name and breeds new life into the laden and belabored lungs of a culture that is waiting to exhale. His debut album, “Let There Be Life,” is a colorful collage of vivid images painted with the deft and determined strokes of a master. Stand out tracks include, “Frontlines,” a war anthem mustering the troops in readiness for battle, “Bridgeport, CT,” a personal tribute to his hometown, “On Top of the Game,” a club banger spitting fire and flame, “The Clock is Tickin” is straight up hardcore gangsta, and “You and I Shall Live Forever” is the quintessential Hip Hop wedding song that is as memorable and immortal as the very love it proclaims.

The emergence of this bright light may not only be propitious but prophetic as well, for “It Was Written” that a shining star from the east would guide wise men to “God’s Son.” amidst the speculation of whether or not “Hip Hop is Dead,” or if there really is “Life After Death,” the evolution of this “Urban Legend” marches on.

They say that life isn’t always fair, but that the “Afterlife” will make it all right. After all, it is the moment of truth that decides who is admitted into heaven or banished into hell. Well……..Judgment Day is here !!!!!!!!!
