As half of the pioneering internet Hip Hop crew, AE is everything that Hip Hop is and at the same time not. AE was born with more hurdles in his way than all 8 lanes of Olympic runners. Blessed with intelligence, coordination and humility, cursed by poor eye-sight via keratoconus, a bad heart (aeortic bi-cuspid valve) and the never ending desire for perfection.

A promising athlete and a skillful writer all before 5th grade, the Duke City Wiz was robbed of an athletic scholarship and began a downward spiral. A bitter break up with one-time fiance, the death of two childhood friends, fading vision and now, wo way to pay for college seemed to be the recipe for disaster.

AE became suicidal. Before it became deadly, he discovered music. Turning his writing focus to poetry and Hip Hop, he began writing down lyrics by legendary rap group, Bone Thugs-n-harmony. Rhyming became second nature. In 2005, AE became the Champion of Soundclick.com‘s, Hip Hop Audio Battles . The exposure and experience created connections and skills to progress as a True musical artist.

Among many others, AE collaborated with Arizona MC/beatmaker, ZND Prophet. The track was an instant classic and would eventually lead to the formation of the Southwest Rhymesayers.

The hunger to learn led AE into all avenues of music and art. He began to teach himself to play the keyboard, shoot music videos and design websites. Upon request, this is where the first chapters of Wiz‘s life come to a close.

My art is my life and vice versa, ya know? Even though I tried to at first, I can‘t hide who I truly am when I‘m creative. I appreciate you takin the time to do this (interview) but what will happen next is completely confidential. I can make you a promise though. Whether its a painting, a picture of something, a book, a movie, tv show, a song or whatever, you will know exactly who I am and what I‘ve been through, in one way or another, you‘ll get it, because I‘m giving you everything I got
