Jackson IV...The 4th Generation.Born in Bellflower raised in Orange County however my roots go back to The South.Before you can understand one you must understand where one came from.My grandfather (Joseph Jackson Jr.)and grandmother(Clair Peterson) raised my father and my auntie in Memphis Tennessee,There was (& still is) a whole lot going on in our civilization.My grandparents are heavily rooted in the Holy Spirit.My grandfather was ordained in the ministry at age 21.In 1960 he went to Tougaloo College on a Ministry & Music Scholarship and became President of the NAACP College Chapter.My grandfather became a part of one of many histories fights for freedom.He was mentored by Medgar Evers,on March 27th 1961 My grandfather along w/ 8 other black college students were involved in the 1st Sit-In in the Public City Library in Jackson Mississippi where they were arrested for Disturbing The peaceand spent 32 hours in the city Jail.In February of 2005,it was black history Month, My grandfather recieved his Voices of Civil Rights Award. My grandfathers Story of the Civil Rights Event is now in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. They conquered the Jim Crow Law which involved seperate races.My grandfather was ready for change,He Pioneered to California where a great future has taken place and is presently.From generation to generation I was Born April 24th.
