This is to introduce to you Aaron Brookdale A.K.A Da Cure, a Texas hip-hop song writer/performer at twenty-seven years of age with the maturity of chops to last in the arena for the final TKO by sparing with the blue-eyed finesse to eclipse many of his mainstream rap contemporaries. Sam hails from Wichita Falls, Texas and has been tearing up and winning rap talent shows here in the Southwest from the age of 16. His compositions are all totally original that were recorded and produced by him while working two jobs back to back to achieve this goal. As a child, Sam was abandoned by his drug-addicted father and was raised solely by his disabled mother, Kathleen. Raised under poor but auspicious conditions has galvanized Sams’ main ambition in life to make enough money with his music to buy his mother a house. He was the youngest DJ at HOT 103.9, a top 40 rhythmic station after being discovered at a teen club by DJ Don Ameche and put to use on the air as his protégé. In 2000, Sam hitchhiked down to Houston and made it to the final rounds of The Source magazines’ unsigned hype battle. In 2002 Sam attended The Art Institute of New England for music. He was spotted for his production savvy and subsequently drafted out of his classes to work as an intern for Def Jam Records. But family takes precedent, and after only attending one semester in Boston, Sam was forced to return to Wichita Falls to resume working another two jobs in order to support his Mother who was prepping to undergo a recall back surgery. He has since then, moved to Colorado and continued to pursue his dream. He has done so by, writing recording and performing new material. Sam knows that the word no only means not at this time so while working another two jobs he put his nose down to the grindstone and recorded a brand new killer array of songs. Sam will ultimately persevere to emerge as THE rap innovator with the help of his friends who fixed him up with some beats and who set up his MySpace and Soundclick websites allowing access to download free MP3s and an avenue to purchase his material. Over the past years people have been telling Sam that his time will come. After you listen to his new demo, you will realize that time is now.
