Whats really good yall! This be ya boi Michael Hannah a.k.a Young Son. I reside in Brooklyn Center, MN, a outer suburb of the Twin Cities. Im 18 years old. I attend Minneapolis Community and Technical College. This is my second semester. I am a Liberal Arts major, just completing my generals at the moment. I plan to transfer to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with my community college grades. I plan to attend the U of M in the Fall of 2008 (Hopefully, if I meet the requirements by then...lol). I want to major in something with writing. Not really sure what that will be yet, but definitely with writing. I may minor in something fun that ive did all my life like acting or something. Thats what I wanna major/minor in as of now, but I know that may change over the course of the two years of doing my generals. I am a college mentor for the Youthrive Organization, which is also the official Upper Midwest Affiliates for PeaceJam, in which we work with Nobel Peace Lauretes such as Shirin Ebadi and Desmond Tutu, finding ways to promote peace through youth. Life is in a decent spot at the moment. It would be better if I had a intelligent, classy female to kick it with, but I guess that comes in time. I am a born again Christian, and sure am not afraid to claim that. I am a hip hop artist under the title of a rapper/emcee. I am the founder of the local Twin Cities Independent Record Label Influnetial Melodiez, where im currently working with some other various singers and rappers around the city who are about the same mission and message that I stand on to excel the culture and life in the positive aspects and also follow the ways that Christ has presented for us. We make good music. No categorizing. Just good music. Hip Hop, Soul, Rap and R&B, but different then the rest. Its good music. The youth of this generation, which I am apart of, are really in need of some guidance and need to know what the lord has in stored for them. Theres too much killing over frivilous things, violence of materialz and the idolization of eartly beings and matter. I am a child of the hip hop culture and plan to fulfil a calling to reach people with the correct message for their life through this musical window. The label is still very small and im trying to build it up as we speak. This Fall in 2007, im hopefully going to be a part of a Twin Cities Hip Hop Peace Tour, promoting peace through the culture of hip hop, traveling to different schools all over Minnesota and the midwest. Im currently trying to be about my fathers business, and you should be too. Check out my other music and pages too. Strongly against the 5 percent and 5 percent nation doctrine, because I know the true way is with God and Jesus Christ. Summer 2007 is almost over, and its been pretty fun. I traveled to Nashville, Tennesee, Detriot, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois, and North Dakota, performing, promoting music and visiting family members. This has been a busy summer. Been to more places and seen more things than any other time in my life. I must say adulthood is off a great start! Lets hope it stays that way.
