Cleph Knotes (pronounced Clef Notes) started song writting at the age of 8. Though he had talent, he saw it as no more than a mere hobby. It wasnt until his freshman year of high school that he realized his potential. At that time he was called Epic and he teamed-up with another artist named 8th Wonda to perform in the yearly high school talent show. The group Armaggedon was born. He began to grow tired of purchasing beats from local producers and using mainstream artists instrumentals to make songs out of, so to end that cycle, he started beat making and producing. Some may call him the Sample Slayer as he is known for sampling the sound of a leaky faucet hitting pans in the sink, if needed. First used as a means to make a little extra money, this time around, its not for the profit; its not for the fame; its simply for the love. Respect will follow. With the support of his wife, and the influences of his son, he has founded Beat Masonry Music; a movement in Hip Hop. If you like what you hear, or even if you dont, leave him some feedback. Tough love is still love. Rest in Peace, Jay Dee a.k.a. J-Dilla; one of the GREATEST producers that ever lived...Ever.
